The Chancellor’s Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Luncheon is a Metropolitan Community College Foundation benefit held each winter in honor of Dr. King’s legacy. The thought-provoking program features a national speaker each year and focuses on current events through the lens of Dr. King’s teachings.
The 2021 virtual luncheon program will examine the current state of social and racial justice in our country. The purpose of our event is to educate and to promote mutual compassion and understanding. We hope that you and your guests take time to consider this wisdom left to us by Dr. King:
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”
Thank you in advance for supporting our mission of ensuring access and affordable education to all.
